8. 8 Charoset Across Five Continents Local fruit maps diaspora while the Seder symbol remains recognisable.
9. 9 Counting the days to Sinai Counting the Omer makes waiting a practice, carrying the reader from Passover towards Shavuot.
10. 10 The first-fruits in a basket Shavuot completes the year: worshippers carried the first-ripened fruit of the land to the Temple in a woven basket, closing the count the Omer began.
